Good questions

Questions, answered.

How long is a typical stay?

Two to three weeks is common as a general estimate, and some programs run longer. Ask what is covered in each week.

How much should I plan to spend?

General estimates run about $1,500 to $2,500 or more for two to three weeks. Prices vary by trainer and market, and none of these figures is a quote.

Can I take part in the training?

You should. A good stay ends with handoff lessons so you can use the skills yourself.

Will my dog be crated all day?

Ask. Sleeping arrangements, exercise and rest vary widely, and you are entitled to a clear answer.

Is board and train safe for every dog?

No. Dogs with certain health or anxiety issues may fit better with lessons, so ask a trainer for an honest opinion.

What if my dog gets sick during the stay?

Ask in advance how the trainer handles illness, who pays vet costs and how they will reach you.

Does this site recommend a trainer?

No. It lists no trainers and no facilities.

Who runs this site?

K9PN operates it. See the Referral Marketing Disclosure for details.
